WNEU Telemundo Boston  came out as #1 Spanish-language station in the market sign-on to sign-off (Monday to Sunday 5am-2am). According to Nielsen’s most recent survey, WNEU commanded almost half of the audience in the coveted adults 18-34 demo, more than doubling its audience from last year. WNEU was also tied for #1 among adults 18-49 for the same time period.

The station’s continued success was propelled by its strong performance in primetime and early fringe. In primetime, WNEU was the most viewed Spanish-language station from 7-11pm for the seventh consecutive month, delivering a 67% share of the viewing among adults 18-34 and 18-49 and a 56% share among adults 25-54. Dama y Obrero, the new 8pm novela, dominated its time period with an overwhelming 71% of the audience among adults 18-34 and more than 60% among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Additionally, hit novelas La Patrona and El Señor de los Cielos concluded their runs at #1 among adults 18-34 and 18-49, delivering three-quarters of the Spanish-language audience at 9pm and 10pm. Both novelas achieved ratings more than twice the competition.

WNEU also led in early fringe, with 50% of total viewers (P2+), increasing its audience by +14% from last month. Popular court shows Lo Mejor de Caso Cerrado and Caso Cerrado led early fringe viewing with more than half of the total audience at both 3pm and 4pm. Caso Cerrado was also #1 at 4pm among all key adult demos.

“We are extremely proud of our continued success.  More people are watching Telemundo Boston than any other Spanish-language station in the market,” commented Rudy Rodriguez, Regional Sales Manager for WNEU Telemundo Boston. “The station is the clear choice, offering programming that resonates with viewers and targeted campaigns that deliver results for clients.”
