Wayne Trujillo has joined the Chamber of the Americas (COTA’s) as Director of Communications. A graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications, Trujillo recently completed his master’s degree in Digital Media Communication Marketing at Regis University with graduate honors (4.0 GPA).

As COTA’s Director of Communications, Trujillo will conceive, design, expand and execute the organization’s communications operations through traditional and new media to reach and engage with multicultural and international audiences. “Wayne’s work, ideas and commentary have appeared in national and international publications,” said COTA’s Interim CEO and Chairman Gil Cisneros. “He will be a godsend to COTA. I have known Wayne professionally for many years and I am pleased he has finally joined our organization. He is a very gifted young man who has much to offer the Latin American business community in Colorado.”

Trujillo has written extensively on Latino and multicultural subjects for print and digital media. He previously served as Editorial Director of Latino SUAVE, a glossy print magazine, and Latino Landscape, an online publication. His extensive experience with both Latino affairs and multimedia platforms will broadcast COTA’s mission and vision to new clients, prospective partners and extended Latino businesses and cultural communities throughout the Western Hemisphere.

In his role as director of communications for COTA’s, Trujillo will manage articles and blog posts on COTA’s Web site and social media platforms, and contribute to external media. “This is an exciting challenge for me,” Trujillo said. “I have great respect for Gil’s accomplishments and influence across cultures and continents. It is an honor to communicate COTA’s mission, goals and values to even more people and organizations.”
