Walmart launches second round of Get on the Shelf contest for entrepreneurs ( via Produ)
Walmart has launched a new season of Get on the Shelf, a competition with the public as judge developed by @WalmartLabs, which gives entrepreneurs the chance to present and sell their products on Walmart.com and, if all goes well, in selected Walmart stores.
The contest will remain open to entries until July 31 and will allow entrepreneurs, business owners and inventors to submit their products for a chance to make it big through Get on the Shelf.
The competition is open to a wide range of products, and every entrepreneur in the country is invited to take part. Right now Walmart has a particular interest in seeing products Made in U.S.A. as part of its commitment to American suppliers, as well in reviewing other articles in a wide range of categories.
“We’re calling on entrepreneurs and inventors from across the country to help us discover the next big thing. In return, Walmart is giving them exposure to millions of potential customers” said Joel Anderson, president and CEO of Walmart.com.
