The San Diego Latino Film Festival (SDLFF), one of the largest and most well respected Latino film festivals, is excited to announce Marketwire as its official 2013 wire sponsor. The partnership will provide increased visibility of the festival through Marketwire’s comprehensive U.S. Hispanic Newsline, which delivers news and information to more than 1,800 media outlets and 50 key websites reaching Hispanics throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
For 20 years the SDLFF has provided a venue to showcase the latest in Latino feature films, documentaries, shorts and student films. In celebration of its 20th Anniversary, the SDLFF will screen their top 10 groundbreaking and influential Latino films from the past 20 years funded by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. Showcasing the latest in Latino film from the highly anticipated documentary Hecho en Mexico, the historical drama Cinco de Mayo: La Batalla, to the film that delves into the life and death of Colosio this year’s SDLFF promises to bring a unique and exciting film experience to audiences and participants. Opening Day is March 7th, 2013, with the festival running through March 17th. As the largest Latino Film Festival in Southern California and its unique location on the border the SDLFF draws audiences from San Diego, Los Angeles and Baja California.
“We’re excited about this new partnership that will allow our 20th Anniversary San Diego Latino Film Festival to connect with new audiences outside the San Diego/Baja California Region,” states Founder/Executive Director Ethan van Thillo.
