The Raben Group is announcing that Laura Arciniega has joined the firm’s senior team as a principal in their Los Angeles office.
Laura brings a wealth of experience in public policy, politics, and strategic planning to the firm, and strong relationships with a vast network of stakeholders from government, philanthropy, the advocacy community, and the private sector.
“Laura is a seasoned political and strategic counsel, policy analyst, community liaison, and team leader who will be a great resource for our clients,” said Robert Raben, president and founder of the Washington-based firm. “She analyzes problems, identifies creative solutions, and works vigorously to achieve results. We are thrilled to have her join the LA office.”
Prior to joining The Raben Group, Laura served as the district director for Representative Xavier Becerra, Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, for nine years, directing the congressman’s intergovernmental relations, constituent services, and community outreach for his district. Her tenure with Rep. Becerra also included two years as his legislative counsel focusing on Ways and Means Committee work and other key issues, such as education, health, transportation, labor, and immigration. Laura also served as acting chief of staff, managing both the Washington and Los Angeles offices.

Most recently, Laura worked as a consultant to AEG and the Staples Center Foundation, overseeing a variety of projects. Laura was instrumental in helping to produce the AEG Season of Giving campaign, featuring multiple public events aimed at raising awareness and financial support of local non-profit organizations.
Laura received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California Law School and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stanford University. Laura maintains a personal commitment to community service by volunteering with advisory and fundraising committees working to promote environmental sustainability and increase opportunities for underserved communities.
