Terra launches “Jugadores Número 10 /Number 10 Players,” a custom soccer platform showcasing some of the greatest soccer players in the world. Presented by BlackBerry®, this interactive soccer site available in the United States and Latin America, features the new BlackBerry® 10 smartphone. Terra’s bilingual soccer coverage of the world’s leading soccer championships and the road to World Cup 2014 also includes blog postings by world-famous Mexican soccer icon Cuauhtémoc Blanco and renowned sports journalist Inés Sainz as the new face of Terra’s popular weekly soccer program “Show de Goles”.

Terra’s special coverage honors the most revered soccer players who have raised the bar for future generations. Presenting special reports, exclusive interviews, human interest stories, inspirational videos, photo galleries, and commentaries about the athletes’ lives on and off the field, the site celebrates the stars of the game who have worn the legendary No. 10 jersey such as Maradona, Messi, Pele, Ronaldinho and Zidane, among others.

“We are proud to work with BlackBerry® because we both share a passion for innovation and creativity and are eager to offer a meeting place for soccer fans to share their admiration for their favorite players,” said Fernando Rodriguez, CEO of Terra in the United States. “This is a key moment for soccer worldwide, with the summer qualifying games leading up to next year’s World Cup and Terra provides the most comprehensive coverage, and innovative tools surrounding soccer across screens.”

Terra’s new soccer hub will also feature an interactive poll that allows users to vote for their “Top 10 Number 10 Players” and a contest to win an all-expense-paid trip for two to a World Cup 2014 qualifying match.

The world-famous Mexican icon and one of the best Number 10 Soccer Players of all time, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, joins Terra’s new platform to cover the most important soccer tournaments in the world while providing a unique perspective and opinionated content in his new blog “Cuauhtémoc’s Word.”

Audiences can also have access to Terra’s original news, music, entertainment, lifestyle and sports programming with a new application available on the BlackBerry® World™ storefront, providing dynamic live information and breaking news coverage across different topics, as well as integration with BlackBerry® Messenger (BBM™) and calendar functions.
