Telemundo 62 Philadelphia / WWSI News Anchor Ramon Zayas was named one of the Region’s “Most Influential Latinos” by Impacto Latin Newspaper and PHLDiversity at the 2015 Most Influential Latinos Award Ceremony held on Friday, November 20 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This annual event recognizes outstanding Latinos from Delaware, Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey for their continued commitment to serving and helping Delaware Valley’s Latino communities.
For the past 10 years, the Most Influential Latinos Foundation, Impacto and PHLDiversity have made their task to recognize individuals who have made great contributions to the Delaware Valley’s Latino community and the community at large. As part of the recognition, a special bilingual magazine featuring the awardees is published and distributed with the Impacto edition the week of the ceremony.

Emmy-award winning journalist, Ramon Zayas, has more than 20 years of experience working in broadcasting and has covered a range of local, national and international stories throughout his career, including the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, Pope Benedict’s resignation, the succession of Pope Francis, the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, multiple presidential elections and political conventions and the historic 2015 Papal visit to Philadelphia, among others.
Currently, Zayas is a News Anchor for Noticiero Telemundo62, Telemundo62 live local Spanish-language newscast that airs every Monday through Friday at 5:30 PM, 6 PM and 11 PM on Telemundo62 Philadelphia / WWSI. Zayas, along with a team of dynamic Reporters, deliver the latest breaking news, weather and information to communities all throughout the Greater Delaware Valley region. Telemundo62 first launched in the market in January 2014 and is co-located with its sister station, NBC10 Philadelphia / WCAU.
