Telemundo’s programming delivered a record setting 38% share among adults 18-49 in May’s Monday-Friday primetime, the best in network history and 13 points higher than last year, according to Nielsen.
TELEMUNDO gained more viewers in the demo than any other Spanish-language network, averaging 812,000 adults 18-49, while its competition experienced significant declines with Univision averaging 1,163,000, -16% vs. last year, and Unimas averaging 188,000, -48% vs. last year. The record-breaking month brings TELEMUNDO closer than ever to Univision, with a difference of 351,000 adults 18-49, 100,000 closer than last month.
May ratings were bolstered by a strong performance at 10pm, with TELEMUNDO’s super series earning a 54% share in the daypart, more than double the share in May 2014 (23%). With “El Señor De Los Cielos,” TELEMUNDO is the number one Spanish-language network at 10pm, with 1.48 million viewers among adults 18-49, up 129% from last year.
