Telemundo 52 Los Angeles / KVEA has announced that Enrique Chiabra has been named Co-Anchor for Telemundo 52’s weekday morning newscasts, Noticiero Telemundo 52 a las 5 AM y 6 AM. Yara Lasanta will be Telemundo 52’s new Weather Anchor for the station’s weekend newscasts, Noticiero Telemundo 52 a las 5:30 PM y 11 PM, and Julio Vaqueiro, who joined Telemundo 52 in 2013, is the new weekday evening news Co-Anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 52 a las 5:30 PM, 6 PM y 11 PM. Vaqueiro’s time change is effective immediately and Chiabra and Lasanta will make their on-air debut in mid-to-late January 2016.

Chiabra joins Telemundo 52 Los Angeles from Univision Sacramento / KUVS, where he worked as a weekend News Anchor since 2014. Prior to this, Chiabra worked at Univision Palm Springs / KVER and Univision Reno / KREN. Chiabra, a native of Peru, earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Lasanta joins Telemundo 52 Los Angeles from sister-station Telemundo Puerto Rico / WKAQ, where she worked as a weekend Weather Anchor for the station’s weekend newscasts, Telenoticias Fin de Semana at 5 PM and 10 PM, since 2014. Before joining Telemundo Puerto Rico, Lasanta worked for TV Azteca and for MEGA TV. Lasanta earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Meteorology.
Vaqueiro, who joined Telemundo 52 Los Angeles in 2013 as the weekday morning news Co-Anchor for Noticiero Telemundo 52 a las 5 AM y 6 AM, continues to deliver the latest breaking news and information for Spanish-speaking viewers in the greater Los Angeles area as part of the station’s weekday evening news team, which includes Co-Anchor Ana Patricia Candiani, Weather Anchor Gabriela Rosales, Sports Anchor Alejandro Navarro and an enterprising team of reporters. Vaqueiro earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from the Universidad de Anáhuac del Norte in Mexico City.
