Telemundo 52-KVEA has been nominated for seven Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards in four categories for its news-related programming, announced The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences last Thursday. KVEA’s nominations include:

 

1-    “Enfoque Los Angeles” – nominated for Informational/Public Affairs Series (more than 50% studio-based)

2-    “La Vida de la Diva” – nominated for News Special

3-    “Hotel de Inmigrantes,” “Noticiero 52 a las 6” – nominated for Serious News Story – Single Report

4-    “Los Desaparecidos,” “Noticiero 52 a las 11” – nominated for Serious News Story – Single Report

5-    “Los Enemigos de la Extorsion,” “Noticiero 52 a las 6” – nominated for Serious News Story – Single Report

6-    “Tengo Mucho que Decir,” “Noticiero 52 Buenos Dias” – nominated for Medical News Story – Single Report

7-    Jaime Sanchez, Editor – nominated for Outstanding Editor – News

“Enfoque Los Angeles” is a weekly half-hour public affairs show that tackles a myriad of issues affecting the Hispanic community in Southern California, including politics, immigration, education, culture, health and economy. “Noticiero Telemundo 52” at 6pm and 11pm, delivers breaking news, with a complete and in-depth coverage on the issues that directly impact its viewers and the community.

 

The Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards are given for broadcast achievements produced, financed and controlled by the Los Angeles television stations or cable television systems. The 65th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards Presentation will be held at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre on Saturday, August 3, 2013.
