Since 2008, SABEResPODER’s Annual Leadership Awards & Benefit Gala has celebrated the achievements of individuals and organizations empowering communities to become better informed, confident, and active participants in U.S. society. This year’s SABEResPODER Leadership Awards & Benefit Gala, a high-profile fundraising dinner in support of the Migrant Scholars Leadership Institute (MSLI) at UCLA, will be held on Thursday, July 28th starting at 6:00pm in the Sunset Ballroom of the Luxe Hotel in Los Angeles.
This year’s outstanding honorees are:
- Business Leadership Award: NALA Films
- Community Leadership Award: MONICA GIL, Nielsen
- Educational Leadership Award: DAVID RODRIGUEZ, Ford Motor Company
- Image Leadership Award: ADAM RODRIGUEZ, Actor/Entrepreneur
Proceeds from the event benefit MSLI, an intensive one-month college preparatory and leadership skills program for high-achieving students from California’s migrant farm working communities. The program is hosted by SABEResPODER in cooperation with UCLA, and largely funded by the California Department of Education’s Office of Migrant Education.
