Join us this month as we focus our professional development session on crisis communications. For those who have the time, there will be a tour of the Emergency Operations Center after our session from 9:30- 10:00 a.m. Our main speaker will be Curt Sommerhoff, the Miami Dade County Director of Emergency Management and Homeland Security. Curt has extensive experience managing communications in a crisis, and the title of his presentation will be: Plan. Think. Act. Maintaining Composure in a Crisis. Whether we get hit with a terrorist attack, a major hurricane, a global virus, etc., Curt will show us how the County is prepared to handle the crisis.
