Republica is commemorating its fifth anniversary and announcing a very important effort to support a nonprofit organization. In honor of its milestone anniversary, the agency premieres a new annual effort – Republicares – to award one year of pro-bono expertise to a deserving organization within the continental United States and Puerto Rico. Nielsen, Republica’s long-standing client, is partnering with the agency to provide key insights and research capabilities, helping execute the goals of the selected organization.
Republicares offers organizations, big and small, equal footing to win the agency’s services for a year. Any interested applicant must be an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) organization. All submissions will be accepted at www.republica.net/republicares starting in February 2012, where the selected agency will be chosen by Republica’s employees, and announced in May 2012.
Since its inception in November 2006, Republica has fostered a culture of giving back, providing pro-bono services to numerous local and national nonprofits and community initiatives such as, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, City Year, Volunteer USA Foundation, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Miami Dade County’s Volunteerism initiative, Teatro Avante, the International Hispanic Theatre Festival, the United States Department of State, Miami Dade College Foundation, Cuban American National Council, Miami Dolphins Foundation, National Council of La Raza and Amigos For Kids.
“We have been privileged to support many worthy causes these past five years,” said Luis Casamayor, president and chief creative officer. “There are so many great and deserving organizations in our country; through Republicares, we will now offer all nonprofits in need of our services a level playing field to get on our radar and have the opportunity of being selected by our employees,” added Casamayor.
