Billed as the greatest ever celebration of Latin music, artistry and dance, ¡Q’viva! The Chosen will be internationally distributed by Endemol across all platforms outside of the US

Endemol and Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment today announced they have joined forces for the groundbreaking international talent show ¡Q’viva! The Chosen, starring superstar couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony with acclaimed show producer, Jamie King.

Endemol will leverage its network of leading operations in Latin America for the international production of the show, which will seek out today’s greatest talent in Latin music, artistry and dance and will be filmed in cities and villages across 21 countries.  This will include production of local programming, tailored for each ‘host’ country where talent is selected.  The show will climax in what is expected to be the biggest Latin American live show ever.

The international talent search for ¡Q’viva! The Chosen is already underway.  As of June 1st the public can nominate their country’s best singers, dancers, musicians on Facebook (facebook.com/qvivathechosen), and performers across the Americas can exclusively upload their video audition on YouTube (youtube.com/qviva).

From mid July through the end of August, Marc and Jennifer will travel to remote villages and major cities in countries including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Uruguay, and the USA.  Nominations and submissions will be meticulously reviewed each week leading up to Marc and Jennifer’s visits to the various regions.

¡Q’viva! The Chosen will document the all the drama in the stories and personal journeys that Jennifer and Marc uncover as they travel across the continent over three months, assembling a cast of performers to create a spectacular live event and the greatest ever celebration of Latin culture.

Endemol will globally distribute ¡Q’viva! The Chosen across all platforms outside of the US. The TV series will be filmed in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and launch simultaneously on leading television networks across North, Central and South America.

In addition to distributing the finished show, the partnership will also see Endemol locally produce the format in other territories around the world with discussions already underway in Europe.

XIX is currently in advanced negotiations with leading English and Spanish speaking US networks for the TV series with global sponsors behind the show including BlackBerry, the award winning mobile communications brand. Further announcements are expected soon.
