NEW YORK, NY — Jeneen Garcia and Melissa Yahre have been named vice presidents of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Garcia will continue to oversee all strategic and operational aspects of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). In this role, she will manage the Society’s academic affairs, including its relationship with colleges and universities in the United States and abroad. She has 19 years of experience working at PRSA, most recently as director of education. Garcia holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University.
Yahre, who was serving as associate vice president, member services, will continue to supervise PRSA’s member recruitment and retention efforts, and support the Society’s Chapters, Professional Interest Sections and Districts. Additionally, she will oversee the organization’s customer service efforts. Prior to joining PRSA, Yahre was a director with the Commercial Mortgage Banking Association, and held the same title at the United Nations Association of the United States of America. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Bentley University.
