PRSA LA chapter to host breakfast panel on pitching stories to ethnic media
The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Los Angeles chapter will be hosting a breakfast panel titled “Telling Your Story to Ethnic Media: Key Media Decision Makers Share Exclusive Pitching Tips.”
This event will be held Wednesday, February 18 at the Southern California Gas Co. Tower, and the entry fees are as follows:
- $15 – PRSA-LA & YP members
- $25 – Non-members/Guests
- $10 – PRSSA student members
It is required to make reservations in advance. Please E-mail Alfredo@prsala.org with the subject line “Ethnic Media” to make your reservation.
“The explosive growth of multicultural communities, now representing more than one-third of the nation’s population, means that multicultural media outlets have a more powerful voice than ever,” the event description says. “Our panelists from several ethnic media outlets will discuss the type of news they cover and how public relations professionals best capture their attention.”
Industry professionals in the field of journalism will be participating on the panel. Brandon Brooks, Managing Editor, LA Sentinel, Nicole Chang, Staff Writer, Korea Daily, Alejandro Maciel, Managing Editor, Hoy Newspaper, Wang Pheel, Anchor and Reporter, KSCI-TV LA 18, and Stephanie Wu, Reporter, World Journal, are all slated to speak on the panel.
