As part of its commitment to supporting Atlanta-area community initiatives, PM Publicidad, a multicultural marketing and advertising agency specialized in the U.S. Hispanic Market, recently reaffirmed their support of Soccer in the Streets, an NGO that has pioneered the use of soccer for social change since its launch in 1989. Soccer in the Streets empowers underprivileged teens with skills and life lessons, such as personal responsibility and job readiness, through soccer clinics delivered by young, bright, culturally competent role models.

The organization just celebrated their 5th Annual Black Tie Soccer Game at Grady High School in Midtown Atlanta, an annual fund raising event of which PM Publicidad is a proud sponsor. The Black Tie Soccer Game is a tongue-in-cheek take on the classic formal banquet fundraiser. Players take the pitch in formal attire, men in tuxedos and women in ball gowns, with the added touch of soccer cleats and shin guards. The match format is seven-a-side co-ed teams with unlimited substitutions.

“It’s very fulfilling to use our capabilities and expertise to help an organization as important and successful as Soccer in the Streets,” said Patricio Montalbetti, PM Publicidad partner and board member of Soccer in the Streets. “We have partnered with Soccer in the Streets in many ways, from the development of marketing materials, a brand redesign, TV commercials, print ads and flyers, as well as supporting different projects and events”.

“PM Publicidad has helped Soccer in the Streets improve its marketing efforts, both for special events and every day communications.  This has been vital in the recent growth of Soccer in the Streets and has allowed the organization to increase the depth of its programming”, said Jason Longshore, chief development officer for Soccer in the Streets.
