To celebrate the beginning of the new relationship that will create ongoing support and resources to help moms be the best mom they can be, Pampers hosted a baby shower this past weekend in Miami for a number of Hispanic moms, including new spokesperson and TV journalist Barbara Bermudo.

Bermudo, who is expecting to give birth to her second daughter, Camila, in October, joined in the fun and interacted with fellow moms as they shared experiences and compared the various stages of motherhood. Moms-to-be exchanged useful tips from how to choose the best diaper for their baby to ideas on how to decorate the baby’s nursery; enjoyed delicious food and special treats; and received special pampering with mini spa treatments and a basket filled with Pampers products and other gifts.

“Becoming a mom is one of the most beautiful, yet overwhelming experiences for anyone to go through,” said Barbara Bermudo, the popular Spanish-language television newscaster. “As I prepare for the arrival of my second child, I feel very fortunate to have a strong network of family and friends to help ease the way. Working with Pampers gives me the opportunity to hear from other mothers like me; and share valuable resources and parenting experiences to help with our babies’ healthy development as we go through this adventure together.”

As part of the partnership, Pampers will debut a Spanish-language blog and series of mommy video casts with content that it developed with Bermudo. The new interactive resource will offer Hispanic moms a place to connect with other moms and share useful information to assist with their baby’s development and well-being.

“Pampers believes that every baby is precious. We are devoted to offering parents much more than just diapers and baby products. That’s why we are listening to moms to find out what can make the most difference for each mom and her baby,” said Jodi Allen, Vice President of Pampers. “Bermudo’s understanding of the challenges and worries that Latina moms face, and unique perspective as a journalist and an experienced mom, makes her an ideal partner as we create resources to make things better for every mom and every baby.”
