
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer has hired a public relations specialist to lead outreach to the city’s growing Hispanic community.
When he starts his new job Wednesday, Luis M. Martinez will be the city’s first “Multicultural Affairs Director.” In that position, he’s supposed to develop strategies to better engage Hispanic residents and businesses with City Hall; coordinate trade missions to encourage Latin American investment in Orlando; and oversee the Hispanic Office for Local Assistance (HOLA).
