As part of the 2011 AT&T Challenge,”Nuestra Belleza Latina” contestants were put through a series of strenuous tests in an effort to evaluate their skills and endurance, and ability to overcome personal fears at thrilling locations in Illinois, Arizona and Puerto Rico, as they competed for the ultimate prize — a contract to become Univision’s newest on-air personality and a quarter of a million dollars in cash and prizes.

This year, contestants were divided into two teams which were then paired up and sent to the following challenge locations:

  • Toro Verde Park, Puerto Rico. For the AT&T Challenge, Toro Verde Park offered a beautiful location coupled with heart-racing physical dares at “La Bestia” (The Beast). Toro Verde Nature Adventure Park is located in the lush mountains of Orocovis and provides the ideal setting for thrill-seekers and nature-lovers.
  • Skydeck Chicago, Illinois. This 110-stories high, glass-patio observation deck at Chicago’s Willis Tower posed an intense challenge for the contestants.. Standing at 1,450 feet, the Willis Tower is the tallest building in the western hemisphere.
  • White Stallion, Tucson, Arizona. Besides the sweltering heat, this location is also known for its arduous trails, wildlife native to the area and nearby ancient petroglyphs. The White Stallion Ranch and Trails are located near Saguaro National Park at the foot of the Tucson Mountains, where contestants faced the final tests of the AT&T Challenge scavenger hunt.
