Non-profit arm of Grupo Salinas raises 3 million dollars to support burn victims
MEXICO CITY— Fundacion Azteca, the non-profit arm of Grupo Salinas, raised over 3 million dollars during the 54 Movimiento Azteca awareness and fundraising campaign to support the Fundacion Michou y Mau burn center.
The amount raised was above the initial goal of 5 million pesos
and will provide care for 40,000 children with severe burns.
The funds were presented by Fundacion Azteca Executive President
Esteban Moctezuma Barragan to Virginia Sendel, President of the
Fundacion Michou y Mau. Also present during the televised ceremony were Jorge Humberto Contreras of Nacional Monte de Piedad, Adriana Vargas Alvarez, of Interjet and Dr. Luis Felipe Graham, from the State of Tabasco.
