Nilda Valez of Latin2LatinOn November 11th, The Hispanic and Latino Business Students Association (HLBSA) at the university of Michigan, Ross School of Business kicks off their 3rd annual conference entitled “Business Beyond Borders”. The conference serves to bring business leaders to Ross to share their knowledge and perspective about Latin and Hispanic related issues with current students, the overall University of Michigan community and Alumni.

This year, Luiz Fernando Edmond, CEO of Anheuser-Busch and Alejandro Valenzuela del Rio, CEO of Banorte of Mexico serve as keynote speakers. The consumer panel on November 12th is entitled “The American Familia; Marketing to Latinos in the U.S.”. It will be moderated by Christie Nordheim, an Associate Professor of Marketing at Ross and it’s Director of The Marketing Center of Excellence for Executive Education. Featured panelists include Luisa Fairborne, Ad Sales Director for MTVTres, Eduardo Correia, Director Retail Marketing, InComm, Dave Rodriguez, Multicultural Marketing Manager, Ford Motor Company and Nilda Velez of Latin2Latin Marketing + Communications.

Nilda, who has worked with Latin2Latin since May of 2010 is a 25 year + veteran of the Hispanic marketing industry. She’s an integrated communications professional whose career has been spent effectively marketing Fortune 500 products and services to Hispanics both in the U.S. and abroad on both the Agency & Client side.

Most recently, Nilda held the role of VP, General Manager of the NY office of The Bravo Group. Best known for her unparalleled knowledge of the US Hispanic consumer and a broad knowledge of all facets in the marketing sectors, with particular strengths in consumer strategy identification, big-idea generation and development and implementation of retail marketing and consumer outreach programs.
