The National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI) is thrilled to welcome its new President, Ann Marquez.

With over 15 years of nonprofit management experience, Ms. Marquez brings expertise, savvy, and leadership to the NHLI team of staff. She has been the Director of Communications for ASPIRA of New York, a leading Latino youth-services agency. Serving as a senior advisor to the Executive Director, Ms. Marquez was promoted to Managing Director of Corporate Programs and Support Services. Ms. Marquez has served in other leadership roles such as Executive Director of the New York Chapter of ALPFA National Staff Team where she was later appointed as Director of CEO Affairs serving as a key advisor to ALPFA’s National CEO.

“Ann is a community leader whose experience and expertise has served many Hispanic nonprofit organizations,” said Cecelia Espenoza, Chairwoman of the Board. “We are delighted to welcome such a dynamic leader as NHLI sets the stage for continued growth in our mission to advance Latina leaders nationwide.”

She is also committed to serving others. Ms. Marquez supports a number of charitable organizations including Autism Speaks, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the Hispanic Federation. She is a proud Sister and former National Executive Board member of Hermandad Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc.

With her extensive leadership and service skills, NHLI is confident that Ms. Ann Marquez will continue to expand and develop the organization as we move forward into the next 25 years.
