
LOS ANGELES– Edelman Multicultural led all agencies in taking three of the nation’s top nine Hispanic PR awards last night at the 28th annual Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) PRemio Awards and Scholarship Gala in Los Angeles.Edelman’s three awards were forĀ Fashion & Beauty Campaign of the YearĀ for the Unilever-Suave’s “Desfilando Contigo con MĆ”s Estilo” campaign,Ā Food and Beverage Campaign of the YearĀ for Starbucks and their Hispanic launch of theĀ Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino andĀ Technology Campaign of the YearĀ for Microsoft’s “Xbox Para Todos” campaign.

In addition to the campaign of the year awards, HPRA also recognized industry professionals and organizations for their contributions to the Hispanic PR industry.
Lucia Matthews, CEO of DIĆLOGO was chosen as this yearās HPRA PR Professional of the Year. Ā Matthews is an active leader in numerous organizations that seek to improve Latinosā access to education and business resources. Ā She serves on the Advisory Board of Directors at California Diversity Council and the Oversight Board at San Diego Community College District.
The Corporation of the Year winner was Univision Network.  The Journalist of the Year winner was Pilar Marrero, a reporter and editor for La Opinión.  Cynthia Cruz of iolo Technologies was the 2012 Young PR Professional of the Year.
