NBCUniversal has named Nidia Caceros Kilde Vice President, Communications, responsible for leading strategic communications for the cable entertainment group’s President and Chief Content Officer, Jeff Wachtel, and the studios under his purview – Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios, which develop and produce award-winning programming and digital content distributed across global platforms, including USA Network, Syfy, Bravo, E! Entertainment, Oxygen and Esquire Network.
Caceros Kilde is responsible for all consumer and trade media relations on behalf of the studios. Additionally, she will work closely with Cory Shields, Executive Vice President, Communications, NBCU Cable Entertainment, in developing West Coast communications strategy for the cable portfolio including business affairs. She reports to both Wachtel and Shields.
“Nidia has an exceptional track record in communications, having worked with some of the world’s most renowned brands and companies,” said Wachtel. “She brings a wealth of experience, both strategically and creatively, that will help enormously in the long-term positioning of our in-house studios.”
Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Caceros Kilde was Director, Corporate Communications at The Walt Disney Company. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, she managed strategic communications for the office of the CEO, including speaking engagements and top-tier media relations. She was also communications advisor to Disney’s corporate citizenship, corporate brand management and corporate real estate divisions, and was lead social media strategist. She joined Disney in 2004 as head of Communications, Public Relations and Social Media for Disney Consumer Products, managing B-to-B and consumer PR across the Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm franchise licensing portfolio, and for the Disney Store retail chain and online shopping portal.
From growing the Disney Princess franchise to supporting the launch of Netflix.com, Caceros Kilde brings over 17 years of communications experience across the entertainment, licensing, technology, consumer goods, retail and e-commerce industries working in-house and at various PR firms. She began her career in broadcast news as producer and assignment editor of Emmy award-winning newscasts at CNN, UPN News and Inside Edition.
