Miguel Ferrer has been named digital executive producer – overseeing all digital properties – at the still unnamed ABC News-Univision News joint venture. He’s the first executive appointed to the new company’s ranks. Ferrer’s first day on the job will be October 30 and he will divide his time between New York and Miami, where the cable network will be headquartered. A veteran digital media executive, Ferrer until recently was managing editor of the Huffington Post’s Black Voices, Latino Voices and Voces sites. Previously, he was programming director at AOL Latino.
