As part of its Latinos Living Healthy Initiative, the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) will host its first health festival in Brownsville, Texas. LULAC’s Feria de Salud will feature free dental check-ups and consultations for mental health. In addition, veterans will be able to speak with representatives from the local Veteran’s Affairs Office regarding services and other resources that are available to them. Other free services will include free screenings for HIV and blood glucose and blood pressure testing.
The health fair will also feature Latino entertainer Bobby Pulido as well as Mariachi Sol Azteca, and Grupo Capullo Norteño. In addition, families can enjoy interactive performances and magical illusions from The Crescent Circus.
