The National Board of Directors, President Jose Marquez-Leon and the editors of Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology magazine (HE&IT) have selected Tony Jimenez of MicroTech as one of the “Top 200 Most Influential Hispanics in Technology.” This list, which previously recognized the top 100 Hispanics in technology, was expanded this year to reflect the increasing role that technology plays in our everyday lives.
Several profiles of the “Top 200 Most Influential Hispanics in Technology” will be featured in the spring edition of HE&IT magazine, which is scheduled for release in April 2011. Companies represented in the “Top 200″ are invited to participate in the Hispanic 200 Leadership Summit in Orlando, Florida on June 10, 2011. This summit, which is part of Career Communication Group’s Alumni Retreat weekend, will feature a dinner and reception recognizing the “Top 200 Most Influential Hispanics in Technology,” along with several seminars and other networking opportunities.
The “Top 200″ features individuals in a variety of sectors: Automotive, Finance and Defense to Energy, Retail and Pharmaceuticals, and all industries in between. Companies represented in the “Top 200″ include General Motors, Boeing, Google, Verizon, Facebook, and many others. Extensive research was done on thousands of employees from various corporations and government agencies. HE&IT editors then evaluated and selected the “Top 200″ based on excellence in their work, strong commitment to their communities, and leadership as role models.
