“Latinx” is not a misspelling. Yes, Latinx is a word, a gender-neutral neologism that is often used instead of Latino, Latina, or even Latin@ to refer to people in the United States who have a Latin American cultural or racial identification. It is not an error or a mistake if you saw or read the word Latinx in your Twitter feed or in conversations with colleagues.
