Official home of Fiesta Atlanta, celebrating Cinco de Mayo
Lanza Group announces Centennial Olympic Park as the official home of Fiesta Atlanta through 2015. Fiesta Atlanta celebrates Cinco de Mayo with a daylong music and culture festival in the heart of Atlanta on Sunday, May 6th 2012. “Fiesta Atlanta is now in its 6th year, and each year draws more diverse crowds to Centennial Olympic Park,” said Mark Banta, General Manager of Centennial Olympic Park. “We are excited to continue our relationship with this great event, to bring Atlanta’s multicultural population to our park through 2015.”

Now in its 6th year, Fiesta Atlanta will add new elements for 2012 including an expanded youth soccer tournament and children’s activities, more local artisans and opportunities for the festival attendees to participate in contests. Fiesta Atlanta will hold a 5k run/walk for the second year in a row, to encourage healthy lifestyles and enjoying fitness with the whole family. Fiesta Atlanta brings a variety of artists and performers, covering a range of Latin music.
Fiesta Atlanta, is the Southeast’s largest Cinco de Mayo celebration, it is a free, daylong festival that includes live Latin music on two stages, featuring national and local recording artists. The children’s stage lineup includes lively, colorful acts including Mexican folkloric dancers, clowns, musicians and storytellers. Artists will be selling handmade traditional crafts while vendors will be selling delicious Latin foods. The festival’s partners will provide product samples and many, fun and interactive displays.
