Juan Carlos Maya, founder and president of Mixto Music, was present at Hispanicize 2014 together with singer Jessi Leon to support the Nueva Latina campaign of Procter & Gamble’s Orgullosa platform, in which Leon sings the number entitled La Falda Bien Puesta, a song that Maya produced.
“We feel very proud and flattered to have collaborated with this campaign and to have worked with a company like P&G and specifically on this project,” Maya told PRODU. “We had a team of first-class musicians and the projection of this song will be immense since it will air on a 360 platform,” he said.

The Nueva Latina campaign empowers women to define what it means to be a modern, bicultural Latina. “It’s an honor to have been named as the singer for this beautiful campaign that speaks about the new Latina woman,” Leon said.

As for the importance of events like Hispanicize, the music producer said “it’s very important to keep up to date with what’s happening in the market, since it’s no longer just radio and television, it’s also finding the way to integrate the music into campaigns executed on different platforms, while at the same time knowing where the market’s trending – we’ll only be fully aware of all that if we attend events like Hispanicize.”
