Journalists from NY1 Noticias, Univision News and Noticias MundoFOX confirm participation
HPRA-NY will host its first ‘Meet the Media’ panel event of the year on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. The organization’s ‘Meet the Media’ panels have become a staple event since its inception in 2010. Confirmed panelists include seasoned journalists from leading U.S. Hispanic news organizations from across the country.
Attendees will have an opportunity to hear directly from the most respected journalist in their field. Topics of discussion will include recent trends and issues impacting the journalism landscape, how their organizations are adapting to the ever changing environment and the influence public relations professionals have on their reporting.
Panelists include:
· Maritza Puello, executive editor at Time Warner Cable’s New York Spanish-language news channel, NY1 Noticias.
· Nuria Net, deputy editor at Univision Communications Inc.’s Univision News.
· Rolando Nichols, national news anchor at MundoFOX’s Noticias MundoFOX.
The panel will hosted by MundoFOX and take place at News Corporation. It will be moderated by the New York Daily News’ showbiz reporter, Zayda Rivera, a veteran journalist, experienced PR professional and member of HPRA-NY. The event will start at 6:30 p.m. and include networking opportunities pre and post the panel discussion. Entry is $20 for HPRA-NY members and $30 for all others. Hors d’oeuvres & wine will be served.
