WASHINGTON, DC – ZGS Communications, a Hispanic media company, announced the launch of holaciudad! (http://www.holaciudad.com), an easy to use and engaging local Spanish-language web portal in Orlando, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. The local websites feature current events, local news, entertainment, finance, sports, lifestyle, autos and weather; as well as services such as local calendar of events, city guides, and classifieds. holaciudad! fills a void in the market place, and offers users and partners a dynamic local resource.

“holaciudad! is a unique local experience. Spanish-language web users have been asking for a site that offers community specific updates and local resources. holaciudad! is a one-of-a-kind product that is constantly evolving to serve the needs of the local community,” Eduardo Zavala, President, ZGS Communications, Digital, Broadcast and News Operations, said. “We look forward to introducing holaciudad! to communities across the nation.”

The website highlights topics that are of particular interest to the Hispanic population. It includes user-generated content for interactive event calendars, classified ads and comment boards. holaciudad! also features culturally relevant information, and blogs from area personalities as well as local community leaders. The website engages users by creating a cyber community of local content, partnerships and information.

holaciudad! is owned by ZGS Communications, a Hispanic media company that owns or operates 12 Spanish-language television stations, representing the largest group of independent stations affiliated with the Telemundo television network, and 3 radio stations. With holaciudad! ZGS adds another dimension to expand its reach and deliver content to the communities it serves. The website is launching in El Paso and Tampa later this summer and will have a presence in all ZGS markets by the end of the year. Future plans include the expansion of holaciudad! to cities across the United States.
