Forty one Latino influencers from the industries of Hispanic advertising, PR, film, music and blogging gathered in L.A. for a special Hispanicize 2013 Breakfast Meet Up October 6 at the Grove’s trendy restaurant Planet Dailies.
The networking event was sponsored by Sprint and was co-hosted by the Hispanic Public Relations Association, PRODU and Latin Heat Media.
During the meet up attendees learned about how they could get involved with Hispanicize 2013 and they also heard from two Latino influencers about important projects they have launched.
Writer/producer Rick Najera encouraged participants to vote for California’s Proposition 38 (www.Iam38.org) an initiative that guarantees proper state funding for schools. Voters will decide Proposition 38’s fate in the November election.
Latino Hollywood pioneer Bel Hernandez, founder of Latin Heat Media (www.LatinHeat.com), told attendees about her new ground breaking show for Latinas ¡HOLA L.A.! The TV show just debuted Sundays on KCAL-TV, Ch. 9 and is notable because it is the first and only English Language TV talk show with a Latina POV (think “The View meets Latina).
