IRVINE, CA– After a total of more than 1.3 million text and online votes received for the “My Fabulous 15” contest, 14-year-old Los Angeles teen, Briana Spindola has been crowned winner of the Verizon Wireless “My Fabulous 15” contest.  She has been awarded a dream-come-true Quinceanera party valued at approximately $45,000. The party package includes:

— Dinner for 200 guests
— A formal dress
— Transportation to and from the party
— LG enV3 cell phones for Briana and her parents
— A private, live concert by Mexican pop artist Pee Wee.

“I still can’t believe it,” said Briana. “There were so many amazing candidates. I am honored to have been chosen. Winning this contest is a dream come true for me and my family!”

A sophomore at Narbonne High School in Harbor City, Briana is an active member of Key Club, which has helped her give back to her community by volunteering at elementary schools, public libraries and hospitals. She is grateful to her parents for the sacrifices they have made to provide a safe environment. This has meant sticking to a strict family budget, which is why winning “My Fabulous Quince” is making Briana’s family dream of celebrating her coming of age a reality.

“I found the response overwhelming,” said Oscar Madrid, director of marketing for Verizon Wireless. “Almost 3,500 teens from Los Angeles, San Jose/San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver and Kennewick entered to win and more than 1.3 million text message votes and online votes were cast to pick the winner.”
