Judging by the posts I have read, the conversations I have had and the overall perspective of the Hispanic marketing realm, social media is viewed as just another form of media that Hispanic marketing and advertising agencies can utilize in the development of their campaigns.
I have found, however, that properly planned and executed, a social marketing strategy is much, much more than just another form of media. In my opinion, social media and its role in Hispanic marketing will by necessity cause a shift, a fundamental change in the Hispanic marketing paradigm that we have all functioned under.
