HBOLatino, Home Box Office’s dedicated Spanish-language premium channel, will present a sensational slate of first-run entertainment through Fall 2012, certain to appeal to the today’s multigenerational and bilingual Hispanic households.

Making their U.S. television premieres exclusively on the service this fall are the first season of the HBO Latin America seriesPrófugos and sixteen Spanish-language films under the bannerEstrenos Latinos.  The HBO documentary film The Latino List: Volume Two, a follow-up to last year’s The Latino Listwill also make its debut on the channel.

In addition, Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters and HBO’s award-winning and critically acclaimed originals, including new season premieres of Boardwalk Empire® and Treme® will be offered in Spanish.

HBO Latino content will also be featured on HBO On Demand® in a dedicated subcategory “Películas Y Más” within “HBO Movies,” and content will also be cross-categorized throughout the service.  Among the programs to be made available areProfugos, The Latino List: Volume Two and Estrenos Latinos, with the English-subtitled series and films accessible after their premiere on the channel.  Viewers will also be able to catch up on previous seasons of all their favorite shows under “HBO Series.”

Series (exclusive to HBO Latino)
Prófugos (Chile) – The series follows a failed drug trafficking operation on the border between Bolivia and Chile, the four men hired to carry it out and the tough characters behind the business. A complex web of corruption unfolds, where no one is who he appears to be, everyone has something to hide and the characters are united in the need to run away, without knowing who or what they are running from. Premiere: September 24, 10:00 PM. Airs every weeknight at 10:00 PM; all episodes will be available on HBO Go and HBO On Demand after they air. Cutting edge, critically acclaimed Spanish-language films from Latin America, Spain and the Caribbean take center stage every weeknight through December, with a new film making its U.S. television debut every Friday night. New films for September include:

Tres Metros Sobre El Cielo (Three Meters Over the Sky)(Spain) – When love brings together a well-to-do girl and a wild rebel, their lives will never be the same. Director: Fernando González Molina. Stars: Mario Casas, María Valverde. Premiere: September 7, 8:00 p.m. ET.

Miss Bala (Mexico) – A young woman clings to her dream of becoming a beauty contest queen in a time when Mexico is dominated by organized crime. Director: Geraldo Naranjo. Stars: Stephanie Sigman. Premiere: September 14, 8:00 p.m. ET.

Saluda al Diablo de Mi Parte (Greetings to the Devil)(Colombia) – A former guerilla is reluctantly drawn into the vengeance scheme of one of his victims. Director: Juan Felipe Orozco. Stars: Édgar Ramírez, Ricardo Vélez. Premiere: September 21, 8:00 p.m. ET.

Lobos de Arga (Game of Werewolves) (Spain) – A terrible curse falls on the son of an evil Marchioness, transforming him into a werewolf. 100 years later, the family’s only descendant returns to end the reign of the werewolf. Director: Juan Martínez Moreno.  Stars: Carlos Areces, Secun de la Rosa Premiere: September 28, 8:00 p.m. ET.
