Group O becomes member of national Hispanic chamber organization
The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), as the leading proponent of Hispanic businesses, is proud to announce Group O, the ninth largest Hispanic-owned company in North America, as the national chamber organization’s newest Hispanic Business Enterprise (HBE) member. Group O is one of the first companies of this size to join as an HBE Member since the USHCC’s national convention in Dallas earlier this year.
Group O is a diversified business services provider based in Milan, Illinois. The company provides marketing service execution, supply chain operations, and strategic packaging procurement solutions to its clients in telecommunications, heavy equipment manufacturing, high-technology and consumer packaged goods industries. Recognized as a leader in diversity, Group O employs more than 1,300 employees, with 50 percent of its workforce representing minorities.
In 2010, Group O received such accolades as Hispanic Business Magazine‘s list of “100 Fastest-Growing Companies” and was named Regional Supplier of the Year by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). Chairman and Founder of Group O, Bob Ontiveros was inducted into the Minority Business Hall of Fame and presented with the “El Pipila” award by the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (IHCC).
