Group O’s CEO, Gregg Ontiveros, has been recognized by Hispanic Business magazine as one of its “Top 100 Influentials,” recognizing his stewardship of the company as it has achieved excellent growth while maintaining a commitment to employee and supplier diversity. Earlier this year, Hispanic Business named Group O to its list of “100 Fastest-Growing Companies” and identified the company as the ninth-largest Hispanic-owned U.S. business in 2010.
In nominating Mr. Ontiveros for this distinguished award, the editors stated: “Mr. Ontiveros has been deeply involved in Group O and its operations for over 23 years. In addition to his role as CEO, he serves on the Board of Directors. He has been behind the company’s significant growth trajectory over the past few years, and has been instrumental in establishing and expanding key financial partners and client relationships that have secured a solid foundation for Group O’s continued growth.”
In the past five years, Group O’s workforce has grown by almost forty percent to just over 1,300 employees – and the diversity represented in its workforce is a key differentiator in the value it provides its clients. The resulting ideas, methodologies and critical thinking lead to innovative service offerings and client engagements.
“I’m honored to have been recognized among the Chicago contingent of Hispanic leaders because Group O is Illinois-based and our corporate history is linked strongly to our region,” said Ontiveros. “Yet, our clients —in industries such as telecommunications, consumer packaged goods and heavy equipment manufacturing— have national and global requirements. To meet their needs, we strive to design solutions that embrace the complexities and challenges of delivering significant cost and operational efficiencies in the global marketplace.”
