The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently issued new guidelines that impact the way brands and agencies can market through social media platforms like blogs, Twitter, Facebook and more.
As part of a new ongoing series of social media and marketing webinars created by the annual Hispanicize event, the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA), the Latina Mom Bloggers network and Blogalicious are teaming up for a free national webinar May 14 titled “The Brands and Bloggers Guide to the New FTC Disclosure Guidelines”. The webinar will answer the most pressing questions all brands, agencies and bloggers are asking about the updated FTC disclosure rules regarding social media marketing.
The webinar panel consists of Stacey Ferguson, co-founder of Blogalicious and a former Senior Staff Attorney with the Federal Trade Commission who was on the recent Endorsement Guides outreach team of the original FTC Disclosure Guidelines; Stephen Chavez, President Elect of the national chapter of the Hispanic Public Relations Association and the founder of the blog; and Cristy Clavijo-Kish, CEO of Hispanicize digital and partner of Latin Mom Bloggers.
