Launched in February, CENTRAL FOX was the most-viewed Spanish language sports news program on cable in August and September, surging to a No. 1 finish in the third quarter among total viewers and Adults 18-49 for the first time ever, according to Nielsen Media Research. The show also posted the highest third quarter audience delivery ever for a sports news program in the history of FOX Deportes, the nation’s leading Latino sports network.

“This is a landmark moment in the history of our network as our news programming is thriving and now fully complements the most expansive and diverse portfolio of sports events available to viewers,” said Vincent Cordero, Executive Vice President and General manager, FOX Deportes. “Given that our event programming is unparalleled, news and information is a programming genre that we’ve paid particular attention to recently, and since its debut in February, CENTRAL FOX has proven to be a premium destination for our viewers. I’m extremely proud of our team.”

In finishing as the No. 1 news program in total viewers and Adults 18-49 among Spanish cable sports networks in the just completed quarter, CENTRAL FOX averaged 41,000 viewers overall and 29,000 in the Adult 18-49 demographic (Monday-Sunday). CENTRAL FOX’S performance shattered the network’s five year-old third quarter record for a sports news program in both demographics. The prior record was set by DIARIO FOX SPORTS in 2007 which averaged 31,000 total viewers and 24,000 Adults 18-49.

In addition to CENTRAL FOX’s accomplishments, FOX Deportes’ live soccer commentary show, La Última Palabra, has enjoyed a +75% year-to-year increase in Adults 18-49. During the month of September, FOX Deportes was the No. 1 Spanish language sports network posting the highest Adults 18-49 viewership in every key day-part: Total Day, Prime, Late Fringe and Weekend Day.
