EAGAN, MINN — FindLaw.com (www.findlaw.com), the most-visited legal Web site for free legal information, has launched a new Spanish content center providing free legal information in Spanish.

The new “FindLaw en Espanol” (http://espanol.findlaw.com/) center will help the 35 million Spanish-speaking individuals in the U.S. (U.S. Census Bureau, 2009) learn about the law, get answers to common legal questions and find Spanish-speaking lawyers. The new center also provides helpful free legal information for the 1.6 million Hispanic-owned businesses. People looking for free legal information in Spanish will find trustworthy resources, including more than 100 informative articles across four of FindLaw.com’s most popular legal topics:

—  Family Law & Divorce (Ley de Familia y Divorcio)
—  Employees’ Rights (Derechos de los Empleados)
—  Immigration & Citizenship (Inmigracion y Ciudadania)
—  Civil Rights & Discrimination (Derechos Civiles y Discriminacion)

“We’re excited to provide these valuable legal resources to our Spanish-speaking audience,” said Karl Florida, vice president of Strategy & Business Development at FindLaw. “FindLaw’s purpose is to help connect people with the law, and we’re proud to help the legal system perform better by helping Spanish-speaking people gain fair access to legal content and representation.”

The new “FindLaw en Espanol” center also features links to online Spanish-language legal resources from the federal government, and a lawyer directory that connects FindLaw.com visitors with experienced attorneys who are fluent in Spanish. The FindLaw Lawyer Directory has Spanish-speaking attorneys in every state.
