Ferdinand “Fred” Alvaro, Jr Honored With Boston Latino TV Access Award
Ferdinand “Fred” Alvaro, Jr., Partner-in-Charge of the Gonzalez Saggio & Harlan LLP New England office in Boston, has been selected to receive the Boston Latino TV Access Awards 2011 “Influential Leader Award.” The award is presented annually to “an individual who demonstrates outstanding dedication, commitment and leadership that strengthens the Boston Latino community.”
In announcing the award Boston Latino TV said Mr. Alvaro, “has been a silent, yet powerful voice of learning, leadership and reason for many Latinos in Boston and beyond…he has served many important roles in the community by founding the first charter school in Salem, to serving on the state’s Judicial Nominating Commission , to his latest stint on the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Board of Directors. Above all, Fred still finds the time to meet and counsel ‘up-and-coming’ Latinos and mentor them on executive skills, leadership tactics as well as advice.”
The 2011 Boston Latino TV Access Awards will be formally presented to Mr. Alvaro and other recipients by the Honorable Deval Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, at a special awards celebration on June 30th, 2011.
