Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE: EVC), a leading diversified Spanish-language media company, today announced that the company has appointed Hilda Garcia to the newly created position of Vice President of Multimedia Content and Community Development, effective April 1, 2014. Her responsibilities include the management and development of multimedia content and alignment of digital initiatives across the company’s platform. In her new role, she will also manage Entravision’s online communities, develop strategies for their growth and oversee digital special events coordination.

Liberman, Chief Operating Officer at Entravision. “Her background in content management, production, interactive marketing and journalism provide a unique skillset to guide the growth of our digital communities and content.”

In her previous role as Vice President of Multiplatform News and Information at Impremedia, Garcia oversaw digital content management and development across traditional and online properties, as well as audience marketing initiatives. She also served as News Director at Impremedia and managed the integration of a multimedia newsroom across properties. Garcia has held the position of multimedia director at Periódico El Universal, Newspaper El Nuevo Dia and America Online, during which she gained significant experience in content development, program management, and digital newsroom integration. Garcia received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Iberoamericana University and her Master’s in Communications from the University of Miami.
