Ladybug en espanol is a magazine for children ages 3 to 6 years old learning to read or speak Spanish. Enchanting stories and illustrations allow children to read independently or listen to stories aloud. Children improve their reading comprehension with poems, stories and crafts while listening and reading in Spanish. Ladybug en espanol helps children practice speaking and reading Spanish. The digital version of Ladybug en espanol also includes read along features, videos of crafts and activities in action as well as more games and activities to keep children learning for many additional hours.

There are currently over 50 million Hispanics in the US making them the largest minority in the nation. One in every three Hispanic-Americans is under the age of eighteen and 45% of them are under the age of nine. Cricket Magazine hopes to reach this market using their magazines as an educational tool for parents and teachers to promote and encourage reading in Spanish. In addition to individual readers, their audience includes schools, libraries and businesses promoting bilingual programs.
