  2. I would very much like to send you one of my books, that the news press just released.
“Roots of Indifference,” is about the Mexican-Americans in the early
1910, struggling with so much hate and indifference, around the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Its a historical novel that deals with so much truth. One hundred years ago, the people were dealing with the same
problems that is happening now in Arizona. Everyone need to read this.
Please let me know, if you would like to receive this book.
    Thanks,
    Terri Ragsdale

    Gracias

  7. To Andrea Gomez,

  8. In 2 1/2 months I’ll be launching the first book to showcase Latino-led innovation and leadership in the green economy. Can I email you an advanced review copy for your perusal? It’s titled, “”Latinnovating: Green American Jobs and the Latinos Creating Them.” I’ll be debuting it at Stanford University at the Silicon Valley Latino Leadership Summit that I help to organize and promote with fellow Bay Area author Frank Carbajal. Thanks so much.

  9. Graciela,
I would love to review copy of “Latinnovating: Green American Jobs and the Latinos Creating Them.” How can I help you.? So many times, the Hispanic people get ahead and forget about the other Latino(a) people, that truly need help. I wrote My book in a fictional, true-based novella, about the La Raza around the Rio Grande Valley of Texas in 1910-1941, and how it has affected the majority of all our race. Whether you were born in Mexico, or Texas, we are all the same, in feelings, trying to get ahead in life.
“Roots of Indifference,” is a historical novel. So many incidents happened that have never been told. Stories that the news media has never reported, or wrote. Thanks you.

  10. Internet is a useful invention for the people who cannot spend time to find the material according to their subject in books or libraries, your blog is also a big part of this great invention.

  12. LOS AMERICANS, A NEW DRAMATIC SERIES, TO DEBUT ON ONE ECONOMY’S PUBLIC INTERNET CHANNEL ON MAY 26, 2011

Web Based Series Connects Viewers to Online Resources and Information

One Economy will premiere Los Americans (www.LosAmericans.com), a new web based series, on May 26, 2011 on the Public Internet Channel, PIC.tv. The drama focuses on a multi-generational middle income Latino family living in Los Angeles and dealing with issues that many families face today including unemployment, cultural identity, and alcoholism. The series features Latino-Americans in a realistic and complex manner seldom seen on television.

While the series portrays some of the experiences unique to the Latino community, such as the challenges of straddling two cultures, the series also shows that much of the family’s struggles can be identified with families from various socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Following each episode of Los Americans, viewers will be directed to resources and information that take into account diverse perspectives on dealing with issues portrayed in the program. Providing relevant online content through PIC.tv is a part of One Economy’s holistic approach to encourage people to adopt technology and use it to improve their lives.

The series is written and directed by Dennis Leoni, who is best known for having created and produced the award winning television series Resurrection Blvd. for Showtime. Los Americans feature Esai Morales (Caprica, Jericho, La Mamba), Lupe Ontiveros (Southland, Family Guy) Raymond Cruz (The Closer, Breaking Bad) and Tony Plana (Ugly Betty, 24).

    ABOUT ONE ECONOMY
One Economy is a global non-profit that uses innovative approaches to deliver the power of technology and information to low-income people. More than 19 million people have used One Economy’s online tools and resources, including The Beehive (www.thebeehive.org) and the Public Internet Channel (www.pic.tv), to build better lives. To date, One Economy has launched on the ground programs in 42 U. S. states, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

  13. I absolutely love your blog and the work of both of you. Manny, always cooperative and supportive participated in the completion of my thesis in 2003. So congrats to both on this amazing resource for PR pros. I was wondering if you could help me. Do have any data on the number of nonprofits that use PR to reach their Hispanic audience? I have searched everywhere and all I can find is the increase in those that use social media but I am looking for something a little broader. If you have website suggestions that would be great.

    Thanks!

    K

  14. Would love any feedback on BizGym.com, the new free way to turning ideas into business system. It includes an “Idea Bank” approach to elevator pitch development and business planning. Our goal in making this free system is to level the playing field of entrepreneurship for all.

You can preview the entire system without giving up any personal information. Any comments / help welcome!

  15. Is there a list of Hispanics that have not registered to vote the November 6, 2012 Presidential Election?
