Burger King has partnered with CHARO to create an internal training video to teach their employees on how to make the newest item on their menu: Grilled Dogs. The video was supposed to be for internal purposes only, but one of their employees leaked it on the Internet, and it has been all over the news.
The Grilled Dogs will be permanently added to their menu. They will be offering a Classic Grilled Dog and a Chili Cheese Dog. The Classic Grilled Dog comes at the recommended price of $1.99 or as a combo meal for the recommended price of $4.49, served with a small fountain drink and fries. The Chili Cheese Dog is sold at the recommended price of $2.29 and for the recommended price of $4.79 as part of a combo meal with a small fountain drink and fries.
“They will be like hot dogs out of a backyard barbecue,” Alex Macedo, president of Burger King North America, told Advertising Age.
Using the power of social media for promotion, a television spot is expected to air shortly after the February 23 launch.
