NEW YORK, NY – JeffreyGroup, the largest independent Latin communications agency, announced the appointment of Claudia Mejia-Haffner as Managing Director of the agency’s New York City office, where she will lead its U.S. Hispanic practice and be responsible for managing the firm’s growing roster of blue chip clients, including Buchanan’s, Clorox, Fox Hispanic Media, Johnnie Walker, Jose Cuervo, T-Mobile, UnitedHealth Group and Volkswagen.  Previously, Mejia-Haffner was Vice President of Axis, an Interpublic Group agency which targets U.S. Hispanic and African American markets.

Mejia-Haffner brings nearly 15 years of experience to the firm, having worked at several top international agencies.  Prior to her role at Axis, she served as Vice President at Hill & Knowlton, Senior Account Supervisor at DeVries Public Relations and Senior Account Executive at Edelman, where she began her career.  Mejia-Haffner is a graduate of New York University.
