The Hispanic PR Blog has learned that Covered California,  the organization running the state’s health insurance exchange, has tapped Weber Shandwick and its multicultural agency The Axis Agency to lead advertising efforts for its brand new $12 million account.

Weber’s contract with Covered California includes strategy and overview of a paid advertising campaign, creative development and production of ads, social and digital media strategy and execution, and collateral material development.

Ogilvy Public Relations will lead the state’s media relations and community outreach efforts.
