BabyFirst announced today it has added to its rapidly increasing Latino reach with today’s launch on the AT&T U-verse® Paquete Español package, Channel 3063. BabyFirst, the TV network devoted to delivering entertaining child development programming to tots and their parents, already is seen in English on U-verse, channel 310.
“With every third baby born in the U.S. being Latino, there is an increasing recognition among programming distributors that this community is hungry for age-appropriate content for their kids,” said Sharon Rechter, EVP Business Development and Distribution, BabyFirst. “We have enjoyed a great relationship with AT&T U-verse through its carriage of our English-language channel, and we look forward to now working with them to provide their Latino customers with the same high quality, engaging programming experiences.”
“BabyFirst has earned the loyalty of many of our customers,” said Julie Tran, head of foreign language programming, AT&T U-verse. “And we are pleased to offer this unique service as part of our Paquete Español package – which further enhances our extensive lineup of channels aimed at diverse communities.”
BabyFirst’s Latino presence has been growing rapidly, with carriage by several major content distributors. The network indexes 279 among Hispanic viewers, according to GfK MRI, more than double the index of other leading kids networks. The same study shows that BabyFirst is particularly strong among Hispanic female millennials.1
